Maquettes
A few unedited and edited photos of my maquette. I didn't intend to create the building like shadow and was very pleased to find out this was the shadow it created as it fitted in nicely with the Urban theme that I was studying at the time.
I also did a clay maquette.

Cat Mop Slippers - Graphics
Our second graphics project was to chose a crazy japanese invention and do an advertisement for it. I began with intial drawings, moving on to scanning them in and editing on photoshop to create a range of posters.
I chose the invention of Cat mop slippers. A small shoe that the cat would wear which had mop strands attached so effectively the cat would be able to mop your floor as it walked around.
I did two versions of this poster as I couldn't decide which looked better.

Hat
Textiles project was to create an outradious hat infulenced on a building/sculpture that interested us. I chose this sculpture which is situated near Piccadilly train station.
To recreate this into a hat I decided I would make a range of origami boxes in different sizes and colours. I attached all the boxes onto a head band.
And heres the final outcome...

Activating Space
After the Urban project we were told to 'activate our space' working with the other students within the same room as me. We agreed on using binbags as the structure to create a long tunnel down the middle of the room involving movement, sound, slopes of hanging binbags and wire sculptures, emphasised with a light. When first entering the tunnel fear and curiousity is the key feeling. But after a while of being in the tunnel its almost womb like. You went from being firightened to relaxed which was unexpected.
Art & Photography- Urban Project
A few sketches and mono-prints of things I feel are related to the subject of Urban.
Experimenting with photoshop. Collarges and rotations.
Pod Fashion!
The project was to come up with your own event, deciding what the even involves where it takes and so on and create advertisments for it. I decided to do a fashion show located at the Manchester Wheel as it was a landmark I had been looking at in my Urban project. I began the project by doing some simple drawings that would be catchy and reflect fashion.
Above is an invite I made. I drew the images seperately and arranged it all on photoshop.
Above is a small leaflet with the information on the back. I again drew the images and arranged them using photoshop.
Finally above is my poster. Like the above two I drew the images then arranged them using photoshop.
A few things from my A2 exam
From a set of questions that we got given I decided on Human Condition. I began with looking at friendship, a happy condition of living. Then moving on to being alone. Confusion, maybe even depression. I even did a small bit of research on the homeless, a poor living condition. My final outcome ended up being an induvidual sat alone. No one else around him. I used fineliner and water colour.
